Meet Chuck Nagel

Chuck Nagel is a Healthcare Business Partner at Radiation Detection Company (RDC), where he bridges the gap between hospital imaging teams and RDC’s mission to simplify radiation safety through responsive service, technical expertise, and reliable dosimetry solutions.

Professional Experience

Chuck brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in hospital imaging, radiation safety, and emergency management across HCA Healthcare’s West Florida Division. Most recently, he served as Director of Imaging Services and Emergency Management Chair for HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital and later added a second facility to include the Imaging Director role at HCA Florida St. Petersburg General Hospital, where he oversaw multiple imaging departments, including Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Echocardiography, and Mammography.

During his tenure, Chuck also held advisory roles at the HCA Corporate Radiology Advisory Council and the HealthTrust Radiology Advisory Board, where he helped shape clinical standards, technology adoption, and purchasing strategies across national healthcare networks. His contributions ensured that radiology departments remained aligned with evolving clinical and operational best practices.

Earlier in his career, Chuck served as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and Division Subject Matter Expert for the West Florida Division. He provided leadership in nuclear medicine and was a chief contributor to company-wide radiation safety program updates. His deep understanding of imaging workflows, compliance challenges, and staff safety needs gives him a unique perspective on how dosimetry impacts daily hospital operations.

Chuck’s Impact at RDC

At RDC, Chuck leverages his extensive clinical and leadership background to strengthen partnerships with hospitals and imaging centers nationwide. His mission is to ensure RDC’s dosimetry programs truly reflect the realities of modern healthcare – simplifying badge management, improving compliance confidence, and easing the administrative burden on safety officers and imaging leaders.

Chuck’s collaborative, solutions-focused approach helps RDC continue to deliver responsive, reliable, and simplified dosimetry service.
